Progressive Scan Camera
Overview
- Progressive scan camera incorporated with 1.45 megapixel CCD imaging device of optical 1/2 inch size which has high sensitivity in near-ultraviolet light range.
- It can generate more sensitive images even in UV light source compared to a conventional camera, as it has high sensitivity in a visible light to near-UV light range
- Sensitivity in the wavelength range 200-300nm has been increased by the use of new CCD. (compared with conventional company products)
- Video signal is output in 10/8-bit format complying with Camera Link (Base configuration) in progressive scanning (non-interlaced scanning) format.
- Asynchronous electronic shutter function provides still full frame images at any timing.
- The internal set values of the camera are externally controlled with serial communication via Camera Link.
Features
- When the external trigger signal is input, the image is reset with random timing (Asynchronous timing) and the electronic shutter image can be obtained at a given point in time. (Asynchronous shutter mode)
- Electric shutter release timing is output as a stroboscopic emission trigger signal. The camera is designed so that the strobe signal can be output even in the continuous shutter mode, and this contributes to the power saving for LED lighting and others as well as the reduction of smear.
- The current setting status of the camera can be displayed over the captured image using superimposing function enabling to display text information by OSD.
- The monitoring function for measuring the internal temperature of the camera is incorporated.
- The asynchronous shutter is applicable both in the preset shutter mode and the pulse width control mode.
- The ID information set by the user for each camera can be saved and read out whenever necessary (via serial communication link).
Applications
- High-resolution image processor using UV source such as various defect detector or biological sample analysis
- Appearance inspection device
- Microscope usage
- Image processing unit requiring sensitivity to UV light
Spectral sensitivity
Note: Dashed line is the example of the characteristic data of the conventional UV-sensitive camera (our camera).
