Usage enviroment

• Most of our FC-series cameras are equipped with the serial communication feature (*1) and can be connected to the serial port of a personal computer (hereafter referred to as a PC). This software is used to control your camera through a PC by means of serial communication (*2).
• With this software, almost all of the externally-programmable parameters of an FC-series camera can be operated.
• This software can be used on the PC that Microsoft Windows XP or Windows 2000 is running on and the .NET Framework (Version 2.0 or later) is installed on. (*3)(*4)

1. Some models do not support serial communication .（e.g. FC1550MLP／FC1550ML）.
2. This software uses the RS-232C communication facility of the FC series, or the serial communication facility via the Camera Link (Camera Link)
3. If you are using the PC that the .NET Framework (Version 2.0 or later) is not installed on or an old version of the .NET Framework has been installed on, it is necessary to install the .NET Framework (Version 2.0 or later) afresh on your PC. The .NET Framework (Version 2.0 or later) can be downloaded from Microsoft’s official website free of charge.
   For details, refer to the “FCTool Installation Procedure” attached separately.
4. It has been reported that the .NET Framework (Version 2.0 or later) cannot be installed normally on some PCs that Windows 2000 has been installed on.
   For the details on how to install the .NET Framework, see Microsoft’s official website.

(Note)

The FCTool may be used only for the purpose of configuring the internal parameters of the FC-series camera by means of serial communication.
Notice that the software is incapable of displaying the images that it has captured onto the capture board.
To display the images captured onto the capture board on the PC monitor, use demonstration software released by the manufacturer of the capture board you are using, or the like.

1. Use this program only when using our products.
2. We do not know the program defects at this moment, however, we assume no responsibility whatsoever for any secondary problems along with the program use (malfunction of your computer, data corruption and deletion, etc.). When these problems likely occur, backup the important data or take other countermeasures in advance before using it.
3. When distributing this program to third parties, contact us in advance.
4. Do not use this program for other purposes than the setting of our cameras. We shall not be responsible for usage for other purposes than the above and problems caused by the program contents of which is created by entirely or partly copying the original.
